Forces work together to create new team
The police forces covering the area have joined forces with others in the region to create a financial investigation team.
The East Midlands Police Collaboration Project brings together experts from Lincolnshire, Leicestershire Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire forces, who will investigate financial crime.
It is hoped the project will mean that there is a consistent service, offering “the best possible skills.” It will not result in a cash saving.
Derbyshire Chief Constable Mick Creedon said: “It is about increasing our skills, providing greater resilience and ensuring we have dedicated teams working together in the same way.”
