Police have released pictures of items stolen from a home in Empginham.

Burglars broke into a house in Whitwell Road between 7.30pm on May 28 and 6.50am on May 29.

They stole two ornamental bronze statues, a white Cervelo S5 men’s racing bike, a red and black Cervelo S2 woman’s bike, a white Orbea Bronze men’s racing bike, a blue Trek men’s mountain bike, a diamond necklace, engagement ring, diamond earrings, Bulgari bracelet and four horse saddles were stolen.

One of the bronze statues is of a racehorse with jockey and whip, about 3ft by 2ft and the second is of three racehorses and jockeys, also 3ft by 2ft.

Det Con 4142 Emmy Thresh said: “Thousands of pounds worth of items were stolen during the incident, some of the items are quite distinctive and we would like the public to take a look at the photographs and contact us if they have come across any of these items recently or been approached by someone selling them.

“We would also like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the Whitwell Road area during the evening of Wednesday, May 28, or the night of Thursday, May 29.”
