A jumble sale has raised vital funds to
enable a group to continue caring for animals.

A sale held by volunteers from Bourne Animal Welfare in the Abbey Church Hall last Saturday raised £138.

Group chairman Cynthia Graham said: “It went very well.

“We had a lot of people come out and the weather was kind to us.

“People are very kind to us coming to support our sales and donating clothes, books and bric-a-brac.

“Thank you to everyone who supported the event.”

The money raised is used for the general upkeep of cats the group care for.

The group’s next money raising event will be a market stall at Bourne Market on December 6.
