Donations have been collected by Curves Stamford to support the Foodbank during the gym’s annual food drive in March.
The month long collection started in real style with several days at local supermarkets Sainsbury’s and Morrisons. Shoppers were encouraged to make donations and women were invited to join the gym by making a donation instead of paying the joining fee.
Throughout March new and existing gym members continued to make welcome contributions to the collection bringing the total collected to a fantastic 738 kgs.
Curves owner Sally Peacock said: “It is important to us to support our local community and once again our members have been so generous with their donations.
“This has been our most successful year to date and you cannot imagine what that volume of groceries looks like!”
