Children, parents and staff at Cottesmore Village Preschool are celebrating their latest Ofsted inspection after retaining a grading of good.
The report read: “Teaching is good with some excellent elements. Accurate assessments of children’s progress are used to plan a very varied range of activities that enable children to achieve good progress, given their starting points and capabilities.
“Children are cared for in a safe environment. All areas and equipment used by the children are risk assessed regularly to ensure suitable action is taken, when needed, to keep children safe.”
The photograph shows children showing off their Easter bonnets at Easter Bonnet parade held at the end of last term. Parents were invited to the parade and were offered hot cross buns and tea and coffee. Each child was given an Easter bonnet and set the challenge of decorating them at home and produced some excellent results.
The preschool is now preparing for a Toddle Waddle, which takes place this month to raise money and awareness of Meningitis Now.
Staff and children are also delighted with their new outdoor play area and are eagerly awaiting a delivery of a large sandpit and container.
