A gym in Stamford has launched its annual initiative in a bid to help the town’s foodbank.

Curves of Stamford, in St Mary’s Street, is set to waive its service fee for new members until March 22, in return for a bag of non-perishable food which will be donated to the Stamford Foodbank, as part of the 15th Annual Curves Food Drive.

Gym manager Jacquie Kent said: “Collecting non-perishable food during the Annual Curves Food Drive is something which unites the Curves community globally and we’re delighted to champion the Stamford Foodbank whose goals of supporting and strengthening people in the local community match Curves’ core values extremely well.

“The Food Drive is a vital part of our community program that fits perfectly with the Curves philosophy of promoting positive health and creating a community for “real women”.

“We look forward to many years of giving back to the community through deserving charities such as the Stamford Foodbank.”
