Hunt for owner of dog that ‘may have bitten woman’ in Uppingham

Police are trying to track the owners of a dog that is thought to have bitten a woman.

The black Staffordshire bull terrier was found on the Glaston Road playing fields in Uppingham on Wednesday, July 2.

Officers believe the animal may have bitten a woman earlier that day.

Police have not said how serious the woman’s injuries were or released any more information about the incident, which was only publicised on Friday.
