Lincolnshire Police has appointed a new assistant chief constable.
Heather Roach has taken on the permanent role and will assist chief constable Neil Rhodes in leading the force. She was the first female police officer from Lincolnshire to be selected for the strategic command course operated by the national College of Policing, the completion of which made her eligible for promotion to chief officer rank.
Assistant chief constable Roach said: “It is a real privilege to have served for the last 27 years with this force which is full of really talented people.
“The next few years will be challenging but I am sure that we can continue to serve and protect our communities and I’m committed to doing just that.”
