Man who died in Empingham crash is named

UPDATED: A MAN who died in a crash at Empingham this morning.

Nicholas Corah, 78, of Burnham Market, King's Lynn, died after the maroon BMW 318 tourer estate he was driving was involved in a crash with a white scania articulated lorry.

The crash happened at about 9.15am this morning on the A606 road between Oakham and Stamford, about 200 metres away from the Sykes Lane junction.

The driver of the lorry had minor injuries but was not taken to hospital.

The BMW was travelling towards Whitwell when the accident happened.

The road was closed until 4pm.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision to get in touch.
