Musicians helped raise money for charity at a special musical night in a pub in memory of a friend.

Leo Duffy died last year after being diagnosed with bowel cancer, and former school friend Nick Frankgate, landlord of the Blue Bell pub in Glinton, arranged a special night to raise money for cancer charities.

Leo’s daughters, Annika and Mette, and his brother Ray all attended the night, which raised £938.

The proceeds were divided between Macmillan Cancer Support and the charity,Beating Bowel Cancer.

Mr Frankgate said: “The pub was packed for the event and it was a real success.”
