A beauty pageant winner swapped her high heels for trainers to compete in a 10km obstacle course.
Miss Rutland, Cara Pereira, entered The Twilight Run with her friend Kevin Harrison to raise money for the Rainbows Children’s Hospice. They raised £200.
Cara, of Ranksborough Hall Park, Langham, said: “During the race I lost half a shoe, fell over, swam with ducks and waded through mud pits but it was great fun.
“The atmosphere was fantastic and I can’t wait for next year’s event.”
