A Mother’s Day cake stall and a prize draw raised more than £700.
Barbara Farrow, from Stamford Cupcake Company, held the stall in High Street, Stamford, on Saturday, to raise money for Peterborough City Hospital.
The hospital cared for Barbara’s mother Sylvia Fitness before she died in January.
Barbara said she was “overwhelmed and delighted” to raise £740 and said the bad weather didn’t dampen the spirits of volunteers or customers.
Barbara thanked everyone who donated prizes for the raffle and Sukies Party Emporium which gave balloons for the stall.
