MP Alan Duncan was delighted to address the annual general meeting of the Rutland and Melton Conservative Association at Gloucester House in Melton Mowbray.
Mr Duncan discussed the state of politics both nationally and locally with members of the association, reporting on his work both as MP and as Minister of State for International Development.
His speech touched on the economy, health, the crisis in Ukraine and the upcoming referendum on Scottish independence. Mr Duncan said: “The state of the party is good both locally and nationally as we enter the final year of this parliament before the General Election. I was pleased to be able to share my thoughts with association members ahead of the European elections in a couple of months.”
