MP Nick Boles set to visit Uppingham to discuss neighbourhood plan
An MP is to visit Uppingham to discuss its neighbourhood plan.
Planning Minister Nick Boles, who is MP for Stamford and Bourne, will meet local business people and councillors tomorrow and see the Uppingham Neighbourhood Plan– a document highlighting development sites and community facilities.
At an Uppingham Town Council meeting on Wednesday last week, councillors voted to have a draft copy of the plan submitted to Rutland County Council by April 30.
The plan is being drawn up by a town task group.
The group has confirmed it is in talks with a bank over a possible move to the town. It has also written to supermarkets to gauge their interest in the town.
