This lucky mum got an extra special Mother’s Day gift when she and her daughter won a charity raffle.
St Barnabas Hospice Shop in North Street, Bourne, sold tickets in the run up to Mothering Sunday in a bid to raise not only funds but also awareness of the vital work the hospice does in supporting people in Lincolnshire.
The main prize was a beautiful bouquet of flowers donated by Joy of Flowers, which was won by Byrony Berry and her mum Karen.
The pair went into the shop on Saturday to collect the stunning blooms.
There was also a host of runners-up prizes donated by Keith Butters of Spalding.
Shop manager Christine Beardwood said the raffle had raised £77 for the shop’s work.
She added: “It went really well and we were very pleased.
“We are now looking at doing an Easter raffle with chocolates, which we hope people will also support just as generously.”
