New surgery hours welcomed
A SCHEME which has seen three-quarters of the county's doctors surgeries extend their hours has been backed by Lincolnshire's Chamber of Commerce.
Medical centres in Bourne, Stamford and Market Deeping, as well as Castle Bytham and Corby Glen, are among those which are opening later.
Chamber chief-executive Simon Beardsley said: “Some employees may feel the pressure of potential redundancies, and are doing everything in their power to show how committed and reliable they are. The consequence is that this can mean not visiting their doctor, putting their health at risk.”
