Youngsters did their bit for this year’s Children in Need appeal by collecting at a supermarket.

Children from the Walnut Tree Nursery in High Street St Martin’s, Stamford visited Morrisons in Uffington Road, Stamford, on Tuesday and collected £300.

This is up £50 from the amount they collected last year.

Shop manager Nigel Walters gave all the children and staff lunch in the store’s restaurant.

Anne Corder Recruitment in Peterborough will be selling cakes today (Friday) to raise funds for the appeal.

And dozens of other schools, businesses and groups will also be doing their bit.
