Oakham School pupil, Elizabeth Bass, has taken part in the International Harp Contest in Israel

A talented musician has taken part in an international harp contest held in Israel.

Oakham School pupil Elizabeth Bass, 17, took part in the 18th International Harp Contest last month, joining 34 harpists from around the world.

Head of music at Oakham School Peter Davis said: “The fact that Elizabeth was selected to play in this world-renowned competition is testament to her talent and her dedication to music.

“We are all extremely proud of her achievements.”
