A woman has been jailed for two years after admitting stabbing a man at a flat in Oakham.
Sarah Lawrence, 40, of Grampian Way, Oakham, pleaded guilty to unlawful wounding and was sentenced to two years in prison at Leicester Crown Court today (Wednesday).
Lawrence-Dexter also admitted drink driving and was sentenced to two months in prison, to run concurrently, as well as being disqualified from driving for years.
Lawrence-Dexter was charged by police following at attack on a 47-year-old man at a flat in Derwent Drive at about 12.50pm on February 4.
The man was airlifted to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham for treatment on a stab wound to his lower abdomen.
Paramedics and East Midlands Emergency Care Scheme doctor Leon Roberts attended the scene before a Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance flew him to hospital. He has since been released.
