A pub is to have its licence suspended after police raised concerns about drug dealing and violent incidents there.
The Rose and Crown, in Market Place, Oundle, was subject to a licensing review yesterday (Monday) which resulted in a two-week licence suspension.
The operators have three weeks to lodge an appeal.
Over the past 12 months police have been called to a number of incidents at the pub, involving drug dealing, drug use and violence.
Sgt Mark Worthington, the force lead for licensing, said: “A number of conditions had already been added to the license, and these have been reinforced by yesterday’s review.
“These actions demonstrate the force’s commitment to tackling alcohol-fuelled violence, disorder and anti-social behaviour, not just in Northamptonshire’s larger towns but wherever there is an issue in the county.”
