Police investigating the theft of large quantities of alcohol from stores have released CCTV images of a suspect.

Four related incidents of theft are being investigated in Oakham and in three locations in Leicestershire – Mountsorrel, Ashby and Birstall.

On September 12, a large quantity of alcohol was stolen from the Co-op in Burley Road, Oakham.

Officers are also investigating the theft of number plates in connection with the thefts.

Police community support officer Jason Harriman, said: “We are linking these thefts and would like to speak to anyone who may recognise the man in the images, even if you’re not 100 per cent sure we would still like to speak to you as we can quickly eliminate people from our inquiries.”
