Pub and nightclub damaged by fire

EMERGENCY services were called to a fire at a pub in Bourne shortly after 1am this morning.

Police and fire attended the Nags Head, in Abbey Road, after smoke was seen coming out the back of the building.

The fire is believed to have been caused by an electrical fault to a wall-mounted television. Police said there were no casualties and they did not consider there to be any suspicious circumstances.

The fire service says there was severe damage caused to the dance area in the Loft nightclub above the pub, along with the bar and its contents. There was also moderate damage to ground floor caused by water.
