More than £1,225 was raised at a charity’s annual lunch which was well supported by people from far and wide.
The Rutland branch of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution was held at Barnsdale Lodge Hotel on Wednesday last week and 116 people attended, the largest turnout in its history.
Money was raised for the rescue charity by visitors buying Christmas cards, calendars and charity souvenirs as well as taking part in a large raffle.
The mayors of Stamford and Melton were in attendance and Gerry Burrows, from Bourne, provided the after lunch entertainment.
