Here are the results from recent magistrates’ court hearings in the area. We do not carry minor speeding offences.

Grantham Magistrates’ Court, November 11

Gareth Dyer, 35, of Coverley Road, South Witham, was found guilty of failing to identify the driver of a Renault who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence on July 8.

He was fined £600, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £60 and costs of £85. He also had six points put on his licence.

Tanya Newton, 34, of Holland Road, Stamford, admitted driving without insurance in Green Lane, Stamford, on May 19.

She had six points put on her licence, was fined £110, ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £20.

Joshua Whincop, 19, of Wisteria Way, Bourne, admitted driving without due care and attention and failing to report an accident to the police after driving a car into a lamp post in Hawthorn Road, Bourne, on August 17,.

He had five points put on his licence, was fined £140, ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £20.

Loughborough Magistrates’ Court, November 20

Danny Carroll, 28, of Parkfield, Oakham, admitted using insulting words or behaviour in Gaol Street, Oakham, on October 25.

He was fined £50 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20.

Spalding Magistrates’ Court, November 21

Lauren Derbyshire, 19, of Northorpe Lane, Thurlby, admitted driving a Kia Picanto in Galletly Close, Bourne, after drinking enough alcohol to give a reading of 58 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35.

She was disqualified from driving for 12 months, fined £110, ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £20.

Grantham Magistrates’ Court, November 26

James Ramsay, 40, of Kingsway, Bourne, admitted stealing more than £1,050 from Jim’s Yard in Ironmonger Street, Stamford, between May 1 and July 10.

He was sentenced to 12 months in prison, ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £80.
