A railway museum is hosting an event to mark a special anniversary.
Rocks by Rail in Cottesmore has organised the day Black Valentines, which will commemorate the 40th year since the closure of the Harlaxton quarry on February 14, 1974.
The date is known as the Black Valentines as it was the end of ironstone quarrying north of the River Welland.
The event is being held on Sunday and will feature steam train rides and quarry trains and machines will be in operation.
Entry is £5 for adults, £2.50 for children and free for under fives.
