The Royal British Legion is calling for people’s views on how to best make use of funds from the sale of one of its buildings.
The Oakham branch of the legion sold its property, in High Street, to pub chain J D Wetherspoon and now wants ideas and suggestions on how to support the Armed Forces community in local areas.
A spokesman for the legion said: “The views of the Legion’s beneficiaries, supporters and members in these areas really matter to us, so we are asking them to share their thoughts with us on our proposals through a public consultation.”
It launched an online questionnaire on Monday, which will run for six weeks until May 11. To take part in the consultation, www.britishlegion.org.uk/localviews
