A fundraising group has once again launched a campaign to support junior sport in the county.
Rutland Lions Club is running its Dine for the Lions restaurant appeal in more than 20 pubs and restaurants across Rutland throughout September.
The campaign aims to raise money for sporting clubs and help them afford clothing, equipment, training and travel.
In 17 of the pubs and restaurants, a free meal for two can be won by making a minimum £1 donation when customers come to pay their bill. At the end of the month, each restaurant will notify the winners.
At the remaining three venues, donations are automatically generated by choosing the Just Dessert from the menu.
Dine for the Lions will also feature at Rutland Day on Saturday next week.
The group has sponsored the Oakham Rugby Club Under 15s side, pictured above, and the Lions logo can be found on the team’s playing shirt.
