Members of a fundraising group are ready to support the Marie Curie Cancer Care Great Daffodil Appeal.

Rutland Lions members will be holding a collection in Oakham on March 27 and 28 in aid of the appeal which raises funds to support terminally ill patients in their own homes and Marie Curie hospices.

Lions president Paul Brook said: “We can fund one hour of free nursing care for someone in Rutland by raising just £20. Giving a small donation and wearing the iconic daffodil pin really can make a big difference.”
