A local radio station is celebrating is 15th anniversary.

Rutland Radio presenters and staff marked the station’s milestone by donning dinner jackets and visiting both clients and listeners, who had supported the station since it launched in December 1998.

County Squire sponsored the day and provided the radio team with some very smart attire for their tour of the area.

While on their travels around Stamford and Rutland, DJ Rob Persani, who was the first voice on Rutland Radio, made sure they shared the big day by giving out birthday cakes to businesses and listeners alike.

The celebrations continued on air, with a special ‘Ten From When’ from 1998, the year the station was launched. Rutland MP Alan Duncan also popped in to offer his congratulations to the team.
