Two schools are preparing to stage annual summer fetes this weekend.
Whissendine Primary School and Empingham Primary School are set to host the events on Saturday and are calling on villagers to attend.
At Whissendine, the gates are open from midday to 2pm and the fun includes a tombola, bouncy slide, gymnastic demonstrations and rock band dancing. Money raised on the day will go towards school equipment and the trim trail.
The Empingham Village Fete runs at the school from 2pm to 4.30pm and will feature a Battle of Britain Lancaster fly past, live music, model aircraft displays and much more. Entry is £1 and funds will go towards the school and St Peter’s Church.
