A steady steam of visitors to the Christmas Market helped members of Ryhall Methodist Chapel raise £155 for good causes.
Sandra Wadkin, secretary of the church, said it was not as busy as they had hoped on Saturday, because there was “so much going on” in the area.
Nevertheless a tombola, cake and book stalls and bric a brac helped raise vital funds, thanks to the efforts of volunteers and people who donated items.
The cash will be split, with half going to the charity Children in Action and the other half towards chapel funds.
