Series of thefts in Stamford and possible rogue trader in Bourne

Police have appealed for witnesses after a spate of crimes in the area.

A set of number plates were stolen from a white Volkswagen Golf in Tinwell Road, Stamford, between 3pm on Sunday and 5am on today (Monday). If you saw anything call police on 101 quoting incident 56 of May 19.

A fibreglass pond worth £400 was stolen from the back garden of a home in Essex Road, Stamford, between Tuesday last week and today. Incident 57 of May 19.

Two mobile phones, worth £600 each, were stolen from a shop in St Paul’s Street, Stamford, between 10.15am and 10.30am on Saturday. Incident 183 of May 19.

A windscreen wiper on a Toyota Corolla was broken at about 2am in Drift Road, Stamford, this morning. Incident 125 of May 19.

And officers are investigating reports of a possible rogue trader in Bourne. A resident of Kingsway was approached by three men in a white van offering to do roof repairs on Thursday. The first part of the van’s registration was Y62L. The vehicle was also spotted in Willoughby Road that same day.

Anyone who sees the van is asked to call 101 quoting incident 201 of May 15.
