Police are appealing for witnesses after a series of thefts from gardens.

Thieves targeted gardens in Cottesmore Road, Burley, between 3pm on April 6 and 6pm on April 9.

They broke into sheds and garages and stole several items including a red/orange wacker plate, two petrol lawn mowers and a garden hose.

More sheds were broken into in Empingham Road, Exton, on the night of April 9, and in Braunston on April 13.

PCSO 6127 Steve Houghton said: “This is an area of very low crime, and due to the location there is a lot of passing traffic.

“If you were in the area and saw any suspicious activity, particularly in the hours of darkness, or have any information about these offences I would urge you to contact us.”

Call 101 with details.
