Schools in Stamford, Bourne, Deepings and Rutland areas are open as usual - despite today’s public sector workers’ strike.
Local government members of Unison, GMB, Unite, Fire Brigades Union and the National Union of Teachers are taking part in today’s national strike.
Teachers protesting over work-loads, pensions and performance-related pay. Members of the Public and Commercial Services Union are seeking a five per cent pay rise.
A spokesman for Rutland County Council said they had not seen any changes at all.
“All our services appear to be running as normal,” he said.
Lincolnshire County Council executive director Debbie Barnes said authority had agreed service exemptions with the trade unions to ensure that vital life and limb services were maintained.
Dave Ramscar, Chief Fire Officer for Lincolnshire said: “We have plans in place to ensure that we continue to provide an emergency response within the county.”
