A NIGHT of music, comedy and the spoken word raised money for a youth theatre group.

Stamford Senior Youth Theatre hosted the event at Mama Liz’s in Stamford and raised £420 for its forthcoming schools tour.

Director Mary Benzies said: “It was an absolutely brilliant night and I would like to thank everyone who came down to enjoy the event and all those who helped in its organisation.

“I would also like to thank all the local businesses of Stamford who donated a remarkable range of prizes towards our very popular raffle.”

The company will perform Torchbearer at Stamford Arts Centre on Friday, April 20, and Saturday, April 21.
