Table tennis gear will benefit Stamford youth club
Stamford Methodist Church youth outreach worker Luke Denley with the new table
The bats are out at a church youth club after it was kindly given new table tennis equipment.
Youngsters who attend the youth group at Stamford Methodist Church now have a new table to play on, as well as bats and balls, after it was donated to them by Rachel Miller, who was looking to giveaway the equipment following the closure of Ryhall youth club, The Fun Squad.
Youth outreach worker at the church Luke Denley was delighted with the donation.
He said: “I saw the article in the Mercury that Rachel was looking to donate the table and thought it was such a wonderful and generous offer.
“We used to have a table but had to get rid of it because it was in poor condition but this one is a really good table.
“It will definitely get a lot of use from all the children who come here. I’m just very grateful for the donation.”
