Teenage girl hurt after fainting in High Street, Oakham

A teenager was taken to hospital after falling and hitting her head.

Emergency services were called to High Street, Oakham, at about 1.15pm yesterday (Tuesday).

An East Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We received a 999 call saying that a girl in her late teens had fainted and injured her head. We had a solo responder at her side within two minutes of getting the call who provided immediate medical care.

“An ambulance was then sent to take the girl to Leicester Royal Infirmary.

“We hope she is now recovering from her ordeal.”

The girl’s current condition is unknown.
