Pupils will be able to pay tribute to their former teacher at a special service.
Uppingham Community College has organised a thanksgiving service for its former head of languages Dale Duffin.
Mr Duffin died of a heart attack while on holiday in Spain on August 1.
A family cremation will be held in Scunthorpe on Tuesday, followed by a funeral service in North Wheatley, near Retford.
Mr Duffin’s family has asked for privacy during the funeral. But the school will hold a service in Uppingham Church at 3pm on Friday next week.
Principal Jan Turner said anyone who knew Mr Duffin was welcome to attend.
Mr Duffin was on holiday with teachers he had met through exchange programmes when he died.
At the time Mrs Turner said his death was “totally unexpected”. She paid tribute to her former colleague, saying: “Mr Duffin was an extremely valued member of staff and gave so much, in so many ways, to the whole life of the college.
“Many students will have happy memories of the fantastic exchanges that he organised over the years and I know that lasting friendships will have been formed that will be a legacy to his commitment to instilling a love for languages in everyone he taught.”
