The Shed Cafe relaunches for the festive season
A cafe which helps people with additional needs has been relaunched for the festive season.
The Shed Cafe, which is based in Melton Road next to Oakham Baptist Church, was launched in the summer to help people with additional needs by the inclusion team at Rutland County Council.
It was such a success that the cafe, which is supported by the county council, Croft Bakery and Martin’s Cafe, has re-opened today (Wednesday) and will run between 10am and 1.30pm.
It provides a friendly place for people to meet and enjoy hot drinks and festive treats.
There’s also free Wi-Fi for customers.
The cafe will also run at the same time on Wednesday, December 19, when a raffle will be drawn which has been organised to raise funds to support the scheme. Prizes for the raffle have been donated by Lands’ End, Cavells Outdoor and Lalique Beauty.
