Care home residents came face-t0-face with a snake, a tarantula, a rat and a pygmy hedgehog.

ZooLab ranger Chris Knowles brought some of his animals to meet the residents at The Willows Care Home in Rippingale on Wednesday.

Manager Eileen Towers said the residents were still talking about the visit the following day.

She said: “It was absolutely lovely to see the residents getting involved. Everyone was really animated and had a feel of the animals.”
