Tickets on sale for Prof Alan Rogers talk

A historical talk from eminent academic Prof Alan Rogers is taking place this month to coincide with the publication of a new book.

Prof Rogers will be speaking on William Browne of Stamford, about whom he has just written a book, called Noble Merchant: William Browne (c1410-1489) and Stamford in the Fifteenth Century.

The talk will be held at All Saints Church in Stamford on Wednesday, November 21, starting at 7.30pm.

Local historian Philippa Massey said: “Alan Rogers has been working on the history of Stamford since the 1960s and this will probably be his last publication. It is a culmination of all the work he has done over the years.”

Tickets are available from the Stamford Arts Centre, price £5, (concessions £4).
