More than £2,000 raised by guests at a dinner and auction has been handed over to a cancer charity.

Toft residents Pam Adams, Isabel Dowsett, Lyn Powell and Jerry Gilbert organised the March event at Toft Country House and Hotel.

Generous guests raised a total of £2,369 through an auction of prizes kindly donated by businesses in Bourne and Thurlby.

And the money has now been handed over to Cancer Research UK.

The four organisers thanked all those who attended along with Rob Immink who acted as auctioneer.

They also thanked staff at the hotel, some of whom stayed behind after the meal to take part in the auction.

The group added: “The support for the event was heart warming and a fantastic time was had by all.”
