A fundraiser is auctioning a curious sculpture in aid of a charity that helps deaf children.

Kate Cadman, from Barnack, has been given a driftwood horse head by Philippa and Andrew Vear, of Enterprise Products in Steadfold Lane, Stamford.

Kate, whose daughter Beatrice has been deaf since birth, is running the London Marathon this year to raise funds for the National Deaf Children’s Society.

And she hopes to auction her new sculpture to add a few extra pounds to her total.

If you would like to make a bid, e-mail Kate at cuttingedgeinteriors@aol.com
