Scores of people are set for a day of fun as Uppingham gets ready to host its annual Feast Day this weekend.
The popular event runs from midday to 10pm on Sunday in High Street and the town hall, where visitors and locals will get to sample more than 30 trading stalls and be entertained by a host of performers.
Pete Toms has organised the all-day music offering with many local bands including McGoo and Dirty Cowboys, and with a section of Boney M headlining the afternoon spot, and X Factor star Joe Whelan concluding in the evening.
There will be plenty of other entertainment in the afternoon with fun and games for children in the church including face painting, book stalls and visits from Peppa Pig.
The ever popular Punch and Judy will be in town as well as a falconry display, a Viking re-enactment and circus skills workshop among others.
Spokesman Dave Casewell said: “Feast Day in Uppingham is a wonderful event which draws the community together, welcomes visitors and is generally a good knees-up.
“Rain or shine it never fails to entertain.”
