Video: Stamford police take on Ice Bucket Challenge

Members of the Stamford policing team are the latest to take on the Ice Bucket Challenge.

Sector Inspector Mike Burnett, Sgt Emma Crisp and PCSOs Chris Clarke and Emma Conkey lined up on the steps of the police station this morning (Wednesday) to accept their nomination from the Mercury.

They chose to donate money to the Motor Neurone Disease Association and the Harvey Phillips Trust, which was set up to support Louth resident Harvey, who was diagnosed with meningitis in 2005.

After the soaking, Insp Burnett said: “Both causes are very worthwhile. I hope this shows that we have a sense of humour as well.”

Insp Burnett nominated his chief inspector Chris Davison and the Grantham policing team.
