No more snow is forecast for the Stamford, Rutland and Bourne area overnight or tomorrow, according to the Met Office.

However temperatures will plunge to as low as -6C in some areas and fog is expected. The temperature is not expected to get above 0C on Tuesday.

Rutland County Council says on Sunday the area experienced the sixth largest snowfall in the UK according to the nearest weather station at Wittering. The area had more than six inches of snow.

Gritters will be on the roads again tonight and South Kesteven District Council says unless the weather situation improves “significantly” silver bin collections will be suspended on Tuesday.

If you have any snow-related stories or pictures, email the newsdesk or call 01780 750436.
