Volunteers who give up hours of their each year were recognised at an awards day on Sunday.
The Bourne Corps of the Salvation Army rewarded people from the youth clubs, parents and tots club, luncheon club, Cameo Club, and Sally Anne’s Charity Shop on Volunteers Day.
The volunteers were recognised with a certificate of appreciation for many hours of community service.
The day was combined with the 50th anniversary celebrations of the opening of Sally Anne’s in West Street.
There was a special presentation for Maurice and Pearl Dickinson for more 12 years service in the charity shops of the corps.
Our photograph shows Maurice and Pearly Dickinson with Majors Richard and Heather Durrant in uniform at the awards ceremony.
