Vote to give youngsters the chance to perform
People are being called to vote for their favourite act in the Leicester-Shire and Rutland School Games programme.
The programme ran a host of talent competitions across the area for youngsters aged between five and 19 during December and January, and now Rutland County Council is urging people to cast their vote.
Entries from Rutland include electric guitarist Bob Cliffe, singer and guitarist Alice Eva, and singer Jessie Auciello, who all attend Casterton Business and Enterprise College.
Leicester-Shire & Rutland School Games programme is part of a national initiative to motivate and inspire young people to take part in more competitive school sport.
The three groups or individuals who receive the most votes will get the opportunity to perform in front of thousands of people at the Spring School Games Championships at Loughborough University on March 22.
The voting deadline is midnight on Friday next week.
