Vulnerable can get help with heating

Residents in Rutland who are vulnerable to cold can get a free boiler servicing and repairs where required this winter following a successful bid for funding from the Department of Health.

The grant funding will also continue and extend the work of the Energy Action for Rutland project, where staff visit homes and help people reduce their energy costs and stay healthy.

In partnership with Change Agents UK, Voluntary Action Rutland and other organisations, Rutland County Council will also help improve energy efficiency and the safety of existing central heating systems where the householder is on a low income.

There will also be emergency fuel provision for residents.

To access the grants, call 01572 722622 to book an appointment.
