A charity which helps people get back to work has been given a big boost by a supermarket and its customers.

Bourne-based charity Toolbar was presented with a donation from the Waitrose Community Matters initiative. Toolbar lead volunteer Roy McKinney and charity colleague Vic Billitt collected the donation from Emma Steele, Waitrose’s customer services team leader in Stamford.

Roy said: “We are extremely grateful to Waitrose. This enables us to provide services to unemployed people in the Bourne area, that are designed to help them back into work, as quickly as possible.

“As a small local charity, run totally by volunteers, initiatives like this are greatly appreciated.”
